Thomas H. Ford: I'm a Lecturer in English at the University of Melbourne currently writing a book on the natural history of poetry. I started this blog while working on my last book, on Wordsworth and the poetics of air. I wanted to look at material that was too distantly related to that research to end up in the book: specifically, at contemporary novels of climate change, and how they intersect with some currents of philosophical and social thought flowing from the Anthropocene. At the time, there wasn't that much out there on these matters. But that's completely changed over the last five years, and today cli-fi is experiencing a critical boom. So this site is a bit of relic from a former time. Still, it may be of some interest to readers.
